In the game you play as a crew that must go and enact a series of heists to get a lot of loot, and then when you’re done with one heist? You go and do another, and another! That might sound boring, but the game keeps things fresh, and with you being able to play as different thieves with different abilities, the fun is always there.

Robin Valentine: To be honest I’m pretty down on inventories in games, despite being a big fan of fiddly RPGs and their ilk. It’s very rare that I have any fun at all managing my stuff, and as someone who can get a bit obsessive and completionist in games, I’m usually really frustrated by any system that forces me to leave stuff behind.

This choice may be controversial, but hear me out. If you know how to use the UI in Baldur’s Gate 3, this system is second to none. Especially if you’re playing on PC. Everything is searchable thanks to a handy search bar at the top of the UI, there’s a built in filtering system, and if you’re really particular about how you manage your stuff, you can even self manage using various backpacks, pouches, and even books. It’s very easy to become overwhelmed by the items in your inventory if you don’t keep things tidy, but it’s also very easy to correct by using the built-in filtering systems. It’s forgiving, and for an ADHD-addled mind like mine, that’s a godsend.
